PEOPLE OF THE BOOK

harnesses the vast reach of social media to educate a new Arab generation about Jewish faith and culture. Its videos foster curiosity and better understanding between Jews and Arabs; trying to shape a more peaceful coexistence.

Hello!

I’m Elhanan Miller, a Jerusalem-based rabbi, writer and teacher. I began studying Arabic in seventh grade and went on to complete two academic degrees in Middle East history and Islamic Studies. After years studying Jewish texts and working as a journalist covering the Arab world, I created People of the Book in 2017 to bridge my two passions: Judaism and Islam. I strive to break down barriers through language, culture, and open dialogue.

VIDEO

Through one-on-one interviews, entertaining cartoons, and educational videos, People of the Book showcases the Jewish experience in all of its richness and diversity.

JUDAISM

Ever wonder why Jews eat certain foods and avoid others? What their unique clothes signify? What they think about prophecy, or the afterlife? You’ve come to the right place!
